f(x) vs SHINee – Electric Lucifer [Rjee Mashup]

This mashup between f(x)’s “Electric Shock” and “Lucifer” by SHINee is brilliantly cohesive. Both songs are heavily synthesised cuts of dance-pop which feature a somewhat aggressive tone, so a combination of the two tracks should work on paper. But in practice, the mashup is sublime.
The track is stunningly structured, with frequent interplay between the tracks’ vocal segments and spectacular use of each songs’ instrumental motifs (such as the descending beeps in “Lucifer”) to create a tour de force sound. There are one or two places where the transitions between tracks could have been neatened, but on the whole, this mashup is pretty damn good.
